Han Duijvendak

Producer – creative director – editor – tutor

Han Duijvendak

Han is a Dutch-trained child-psychologist who morphed into a theatre and film director. He came to Britain in 1980 and directed more than 50 productions at Liverpool Everyman, Century Theatre, ETT and Dukes Lancaster. In 1998 he got bitten by the film making bug, producing documentaries for ITV Granada, Channel 4 and FIVE, and never looked back.

Jane Watson

DOP – camera woman – director – tutor

Jane Watson

After starting as and actress and dancer, Jane has built a thriving freelance career as a camera operator and film maker in the North West and has been HANDSTAND’s regular DOP and camera tutor since 2000.

Joanne McMahon

Project manager – production coordinator – workshop support worker

Joanne McMahon

Joanne was brought up in Huyton and after working in clerical and book-keeping roles in many settings, came to HANDSTAND in 1999 as book keeper before moving on to project management, assisting in workshops and coordinating productions.

Nick Stanley

Finance director – film finance consultant – production accountant – producer

Nick Stanley

Nick worked as a Theatre Manager – Everyman, Liverpool, then Production Accountant – Queer as Folk, Merseybeat. He is currently involved in Toxteth TV and the Hope Street Feast, as well as many other artistic and creative enterprises.

Honora Brady

Book keeper – accountant

Honora Brady

Nora worked in the Freight industry before she joined Handstand in November 2003 as a six months maternity cover. She is very happy to still be here eight years later. She does the book keeping for Handstand and our various clients.

For many of our projects we engage specialist freelance staff on short-term contracts.
